Suprise visit (RWBY x Reader) Ozpin
Today was an important day for you. Currently, you were on a plane heading back from a mission in Vacuo to your home in Vale. There had been a spike of deathstalkers in the dry grasslands, and you had elected to travel with your teammate to help control the situation. In between hunts, you had traversed throughout the kingdom, marveling at its geography and structures alike. You'd even got a glance at Shade, the kingdom's huntsman academy.
But eventually, after braving vicious grimm and an equally harsh climate, you were ready to return home to the cool airs and familiarity of your home. Not to mention, a certain someone you've been waiting t

The Last Night [Gladion x Reader]
This is the last night you'll spend alone. Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be.
The last night you'll spend alone, I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go.
I'm everything you need me to be.
Your [e/c] eyes flew open and you frenetically looked around your surroundings. It took a moment for you to recollect that you were the residential quarters of the Aether Foundation following the day’s events. After returning from Po Town to hear that Lillie and Nebby had been kidnapped by Aether, you had infiltrated them with the assistance of Hau and Gladion. A difficult day of continuous battling had accumu

Chapter Thirteen - To Catch a Mongoose
The royal soldiers of the pharaoh searched the old tomb top to bottom, careful not to look over any hidden passageways or rooms. After hours of looking, however, Aknerah was not to be found. It was apparent he and some of his men had escaped, as those killed could not be his entire cult. When this and the death count was reported to Y/n, she knew instantly those who got away were large in number. There was no way Aknerah would attempt something this huge with only twenty five men. No, there was either a hidden passageway to a larger area of the tomb the men had missed or an exit the criminals escaped fr

Chapter Twelve - Death on the Horizon
Y/n made to get up, but winced as pain seared through her entire right shoulder. Heba tried to get her to lay back down. “You must rest, you greatness.” Y/n shook her head.
“As much as I value your medical opinion, Heba, I can’t afford to rest. A maniac is on the loose and I have to stop him.” Gritting her teeth so hard they ached, the wounded warrior squeezed her eyes shut as she pushed herself up ignoring her shoulder’s screaming protests. Once she was on her feet, she still managed to tall just as tall as ever. “Come on.” The three began to walk before

Chapter Eleven - Looming Shadows
Under the cover of the desert night, with nothing but the moonlight to reveal him, a figure darted across the sands. He ran through what seemed like empty desert until he suddenly stopped at a large sand dune, where stone steps lead downward. In the depths of the old tomb, the man was greeted by several others. “I’m here to report to our savior.” The others nodded and led him deeper, taking him to a large room. They left him alone with the cloak man who sat at on a stone slab, writing something on a piece of papyrus. The man knelt before the slab.
“What are your findings, Hakah?”

Chapter Ten - Mana's Mischief
Y/n made her way to the room she and Jounou had the midnight meeting the night prior. The head guard was waiting for her and bowed when she entered. “Your greatness,” he greeted.
“What are the reports?”
“The guards themselves didn’t see anything suspicious, but they did talk to the citizens. Several reported a suspicious man lurking about a local tavern located one klick south of the palace.”
“What does this man look like?”
“We don’t have much other than he is dark skinned, dark haired, and very tall. He is often cloaked in public.”

Chapter Nine - Power of a Prayer
Once she arrived at her chambers, Y/n got ready for bed, laughing as Nazwa played with her discarded tunic. A female servant massaged back and shoulders as another light incense. Once she pulled her nightgown over her head, she dismissed the servants and climbed in the bed. Nazwa hopped on after her, curling up beside her. The little lion cub nuzzled her side and Y/n, lying down, pulled the cub close to her, cradling her protectively. She closed her eyes and allowed sleep to take her.
Darkness. Nothing but darkness. A loud scream sounded from within its depths. She looked around frantically for the source,

Chapter Eight - What's in a Name
Around mid-day, hundreds of citizens gathered to witness the execution of the man who attempted to kill the king. Y/n, staying true to her word, was absent at the event. Atem himself was required to be there, as he was the pharaoh and the one who signalled to the executioner. The young king’s eyes swept over the crowd for the upteenth time. He knew she wasn’t there, she had told him so. And why would she lie to him? He didn’t know why he wanted her to be there anyway. He himself wasn’t exactly ecstatic to be present. Perhaps he just didn’t like being in the presence of his would-
